Description
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARK!
Here's the work in progress of Mark's birthday present.
WIP 1: 2H graphite-pencil for thin light lines & ruler to measure out the lines
WIP 2-3: 0,7mm mechanical pencil for the body of the guitar and the guitar-neck. I also used the mechanical pencil the tiny details on the pickups, the bridge, the pickup switch, tremolo and the volume & tone controls. I used softer pencils to darken areas that needed to be darkened.
WIP 4-5: 0,7 mechanical pencil to darken his face and hair. I used a 4B graphite pencils on the black area which was his t-shirt and a tortillion+HB graphite pencil for the shadows and blending. I used the same technique on his arm/hand. To keep his blazers white I just used the kneaded eraser to get rid of graphite that might have smudged the white areas.
WIP 6-8: I used 6B-8B graphite pencils to fill in all the areas that are jet black and the mechanical pencil.
WIP 9: Here I used the same technique but switched back and forth between kneaded eraser, eraser, tortillion and a tissue to give the blended effect from the spotlights and also to keep lightest area white.
