The other drawing of Mark Knopfler playing "Money for Nothing" at Live Aid 1985 is now finished.
The reference-picture wasn't in a high quality, so I had to improvise some details.
I also looked at a picture of a Gibson Les Paul to make sure I got the details right.
Like another drawing I made of Mark, the reference had a microphone in front of Mark's face which loses the focus of his face.
But since I've been drawing other pictures of Mark, I sort of know how to draw his face and it was only a part of his right jaw, cheek and ear that was covered. ^^
I have only one Mark Knopfler-sketch left to finish and after that it might not so many more Dire Straits coming in the near future, because I have some birthday presents to draw and Christmas presents. I'm also going to draw stuff that are not presents but has nothing to with Dire Straits/Mark Knopfler, but it's going to be interesting to see those drawings finished.
Tools:
Pencils:H-4H for scetching, HB-8B for dark areas and details, Shadows and highlights & eraser/kneaded eraser
Time: 15 hours
Blending: Tortillion & tissue
Size: A3
Paper: 250 g/m2 paper
